John Reid
John, an Acoustics Engineer from England, is the inventor of the CymaScope, a 21st century electro-acoustics device, inspired by the work of Ernst Chladni, Margaret Watts-Hughes and Hans Jenny. He has taken their work to a new level and is researching how sound creates form through vocal sound, natural sound, music, sacred language and how sound is influenced by sacred space. John has done research on Egyptian Sonics at the Great Pyramid of Giza and has published a booklet of his findings.
The True Nature of Sound
English acoustics engineer and inventor, John Reid, has studied sound for over 30 years. In this powerful program he will share some of his painstaking research, revealing aspects of sound which are not only surprising but startling. For example, contrary to popular belief, sound does not travel in waves but in holographic bubbles. Such bubbles are capable of traveling huge distances and affecting large numbers of people, plants and animals, at a cellular level. John will demonstrate these new principles with specially designed apparatus and discuss the moral and medical implications of these long-range sonic interactions.
John will also discuss the healing power of sound from the scientific viewpoint, discussing the mechanisms which science has recently discovered. He postulates that sound will one day be our most powerful healing modality and provides clear evidence for such reasoning.
In the final section of John's presentation, he will manifest sound visually by means of the CymaScope, a patented device which allows us to see the inherent beauty within sounds. In real-time demonstrations, John will show a full piece of classical music in the medium of MusicMadeVisible. He will also demonstrate visual human voice and several other visual mammal calls, including dolphin and whale song. Finally, for the first time ever before an audience he will show visual bird song.
Goals:
To enlighten participants in the true nature of sound
and its role in healing, from the scientific perspective.
Learning Objectives:
Witness experiments which prove the true nature of sound.
Learn the scientific basis for sound healing and a possible mechanism for distant healing.
Witness the underlying energetic structures within animal/bird sounds and music. Seeing is believing: to witness the delicate dance of vibration which exists within all living creatures and within music, an experience which will stay with you forever.
