Keynote:
New Visions Of Life after Death
Near-death experiences have captivated the public imagination in recent decades and have been incorporated into the collective consciousness of humankind. But what bearing do they have on the ancient mystery of life after death? Dr. Moody reports on forty years of work interviewing thousands of people who had profound spiritual experiences on the brink of death.
This presentation includes the latest findings on near-death experiences and other extraordinary states of consciousness related to death and dying — empathic death experiences and the swan song phenomenon in which terminally ill patients spontaneously recite poetry during the dying process. Dr. Moody will also discuss six factors that hold back rational progress toward rational comprehension of the question of life after death. And the program describes an ongoing research project involving a revolutionary new approach that portends to illuminate the deepest of humankind's mysteries.

Dr. Moody will update you with the latest information on near-death experiences and acquaint you with a new method of investigating the possibility of life beyond death.
You will learn how to:
1) identify and state the typical characteristics of near-death experiences, empathic death experiences, and the swan song phenomenon
2) explain six factors that hold back rational understanding of the possibilities of life after  death
3) Map out an alternate approach that promotes expanded rational understanding of spiritual and paranormal phenomena.
Workshop:
Nonsense and the Next Life
Is there life after death? And what do the writings of Dr. Suess and Lewis Carroll have to do with it? Nonsense (i.e., language that is unintelligible due to lack of meaning) is one of the most ancient spiritual and shamanic modalities. By exploring the concept of nonsense, this session sheds exciting new light on life after death and other deep mysteries of spirituality and the paranormal. Written and experiential exercises guide you to astonishing insights about the world beyond death. Dr. Moody concludes by showing how rational principles of nonsense lead to the re-discovery of shamanic techniques that will enable you to safely step across to the other side for brief visits.

The goal of this workshop is to teach a way of thinking outside the box about some important aspects of the mind and spirit. By attending, you will learn
•how to identify seven distinct types of nonsense, and their effects on the mind
•ancient methods of using nonsense to induce alternate states of consciousness
•the relationship of nonsense to the question of life after death
