Workshop: Social Physics
Wednesday, April 25
New Mexico 10:45am to 12 noon
Join “Dr. Libby” Smith as she takes us on a ride through myriad ideas and concepts based on sociological theory, quantum physics, criminology, and psychology. Experience the awareness of connections as we interact with energy to make things “matter.” Dr. Libby brings an awareness of our thoughts and will offer methods for directing thoughts, thus making us more conscious of the ways in which our “thoughts create.”
By reviewing the works of various physicists, Dr. Libby shows how thought is energy that works as a system, which impacts behavior. Dr. Libby will explore various theories and ideas concerning energy, to better observe how social problems (crime, poverty, war, etc.) as well as, personal problems are simply products of our own interaction with thoughts and energy. Seldom do we recognize that it is our own deeply hidden thoughts that create problems.
As we begin to observe the interactions with ourselves, others, and the world in which we live, we may become aware of the ways in which we interact with our emotions. Through the observation of our emotions (e=motion, or energy in motion), we learn how to channel the energy in ways which help manifest the things that “matter.”
Goal: Becoming aware of thoughts and emotions in an effort to create from a higher and more conscious level of being.
Learning objectives:
• Identify thoughts and understand their intrinsic and extrinsic value and meaning,
• Become aware of thoughts in an effort to question, analyze, and evaluate their effects
on our everyday lives, and
• Solve personal and social problems from an intrinsic position of empowerment, using
thought and energy to help create change.
