Jeri is a physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She is also a veterinarian, a Reiki Master Teacher, storyteller and author of the book Tapestry of Healing: Where Reiki and Medicine Intertwine. Her articles on women's health and integrative medicine have appeared in newspapers and journals around the world. The rich story-telling format of her presentation moves her audiences to laughter and tears as they are motivated to bring Eastern healing practices into their own lives. Her purpose and her passion are to serve as a bridge between Eastern and Western medicine.

Throughout history, people from every culture have learned to work with the human energy field in order to promote relaxation, pain relief, and healing. As the science of medicine developed, modern cultures turned away from these old and proven practices. After centuries of separation, we have come full circle and realized that by combining the best of Western medicine with the ancient healing arts we can provide more comprehensive, humane and effective care for our patients.
Dr. Mills will relate her experiences integrating Energy Medicine into her Ob-Gyn practice and share her insights on the role hands-on healing modalities can play in all aspects of Western medical care. You will also learn two self-healing techniques that do not require any previous experience of energy healing.
Goal: Learn how Reiki and other hands-on healing modalities can be woven into the standard care regimen of a western medical practice.
Objectives:
- Learn the basic principles of energy medicine.
- Discover many conditions and situations where energy medicine can easily and effectively be introduced into a western medical setting.
- Learn two healing techniques that can used on yourself and patients, and can be taught to patients in a matter of minutes.
