About Our Conference Facility
The Hilton Albuquerque is our host hotel and conference location. Sessions will take place in the elegant New Mexico ballroom and several breakout rooms.
OnLine Revervation Method
We have added an additional reservation procedure option to help with making rservations. Guests can log ont www.Hilton.com. Select Albuquerque, NM and the Hilton Albuquerque. Guests can type in the 3 letter Group Code "SCI" to make reservations under the group block.
If you want to stay onsite, we suggest booking your room early. We have negotiated a special discount rate of only $91 per night, single or double, for conference attendees. Call 505-884-2500 and be sure to tell them that you are with the Science and Consciousness Conference.
All rooms at the Hilton Albuquerque have a work desk with an ergonomic chair, voice-mail, dual-line telephones with dataports, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer and a balcony with sliding doors. A complete Business Center is available on site.
A fully equipped exercise room, enclosed heated pool, hot tub and sauna are also available.
There are seven restaraunts onsite or within easy walking distance.
About the Conference Location
Experience Albuquerques sunny mile high climate.
Add a few extra days to take in the areas unique Spanish and Native American heritage. There are 19 Indian Pueblos in new Mexico. West of Albuquerque is Acoma Sky City Pueblo, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the United States. In the Sandia mountains next to Albuquerque is the Sandia Man Cave, a short hike leads right into the cave where artifacts from Sandia Man, dating back over 20,000 years, were found. Just on the edge of town is Petroglyph National Monument, an open air canvas of more than 15,000 ancient Indian rock drawings.
While you're in Albuquerque, stop over at the 20th Annual World Celebration of The Gathering of Nations, North America's largest Pow Wow and Native Peoples celebration. It is being held from April 22-24, 2004. It is open to the public. See dance and song demonstrations, purchase fine art and craft goods from native exhibitors and taste the delicacies of North America's rich Native heritages.
In town, a few of the museums you may want to check out include: The Museum of Natural History and Science, National Atomic Museum, Museum of Geology and Meteorites, Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, Museum of Archaeology and Material Culture, Albuquerque Bio Park, Aquarium, Botanical Garden, Rio Grande Zoo, Tingley Aquatic Park, Rio Grande Nature Center, Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and Historic Old Town.
And dont forget that Albuquerque is the Hot Air Balloon Capital of the World. You can also experience a ride on the worlds longest Tramway to the top of Sandia Peak. Theres also hang-gliding (off the top of Sandia Peak!), mountain biking, hiking, skiing, horseback riding, and golf.
With a drive or a tour, you can add: white water river rafting, a visit to Santa Fe, Taos, Roswell, Carlsbad Caverns, Chaco Canyon, Bandelier Cliff Dwellings, White Sands, Bradbury Science Museum in Los Alamos, and the Space Center at Alamogordo.
