Workshop: Modern Meditation Training Seminar
Saturday, March 29 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Effective modern meditation practice will be offered in a three-step process, along with some of the physiological findings from regular practice. Tom has been practicing meditation for about 35 years on a daily basis and offering one-hour training classes in it for the past ten years, even to the American Cancer Society and the Patent Office. He finds that it allows his brain to “integrate” the complex thoughts, ideas and emotions that often overwhelm a person in a high-stress job. Meditation practiced on a daily basis has also been shown to reduce the natural cortical thinning that occurs with age, keeping the brain more youthful. Dr. Khalsa, author of Brain Longevity, says meditation creates “optimal cognitive response.” Research also has proven that it is more effective than a midday nap for improving performance and regulating emotional intelligence.
To reach a more integrated appreciation for the power of the mind, and its effects on the body and the physical events in our lives.
• Learn how to meditate and teach others to do so,
• Learn affirmation practice and how imagery affects the way we create situations, and
• Learn how to integrate affirmation practice with goal setting.
