Workshop: A Scientific Case for Reincarnation
Saturday, March 29 - 10:45am to 12 noon
Without recourse to psychic readings, hypnotic regression or spirit guidance, a scientific case can be made for reincarnation. Thousands of proposed past-life connections can be more logically explained by a natural psychoplasm that transmits info-energetic patterns from one life to another than by any other theory. Research suggests that our physical features and the ways we think, react emotionally to life, interact with others, and choose our vocations may be influenced by the experiences of one or more humans who lived in the past.
If reincarnation is real for the Dalai Lama or other famous people, it is equally likely that you and all other humans are reincarnations of a psycho-physical genome that has evolved from the experiences of many lives. Even if you do not know what they were, you can find their footprints in the person you are today.
Goal: To develop an understanding of the research concepts and evidence that now make possible natural explanations for the traditional idea of reincarnation.
Learning Objectives:
• Recognize assumptions in historical concepts of soul reincarnation,
• Review scientific evidence pointing to natural explanations for "past-lives”, and
• Assess the level of confidence one can place in specific past-life matches.
Workshop: Identifying Your Personal “Soulprints”
Sunday, March 30 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
This experiential workshop is for individuals interested in doing self-directed validation of possible past-lives as well as professional reincarnation researchers. We cover in depth a science-based theoretical framework that identifies reincarnation as the principle for conservation of consciousness in a self-learning universe (Analogous to the conservation of energy principle in the electromagnetic spectrum). We evaluate the reliability and verifiability of various sources and methods used to develop evidence for reincarnation.
Several high-profile cases are reviewed in depth. You will critique them to master the use of objective criteria in the evaluation of evidence. Data collection and measurement tools are then applied to possible cases suggested by the group. They include assessments of individual phenotypes, cerebrotypes, egotypes, personatypes and performatypes, as well as the carry-forward of past-life knowledge, habits and personal preferences.
Goal: To develop skills necessary to identify potential past-life connections and to calculate a level of confidence in their probability of being accurate.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn the scientific principles that underpin the reincarnation hypothesis,
• Understand the types of evidence and how to evaluate them, and
• Appreciate the value of science in testing nonsectarian spiritual preferences.
